By train and bus to Kolarbyn
Train station in Skinnskatteberg, 4km. Most guest, however, choose to take the train to Köping and then bus to Skinnskatteberg. Which is fastest depends on where you are traveling from.

From Stockholm / Västerås / Köping
Take the train from Stockholm to Köping, replace the connecting bus No. 550 to Skinnskatteberg. It is cheaper to buy the whole trip including the bus on a single ticket before you start your trip. Total travel time from Stockholm is about 2 hours and 20 minutes.

Skinnskatteberg can also be reached directly by train (Train in Bergslagen) by Orebro / Hallsberg, Avesta-Krylbo or Fagersta and other cities.

By foot

Skinnskatteberg bus and train station is around 4km from Kolarbyn. The easiest is to walk the 4km to Kolarbyn, but if you have a lot of packing, it can feel long. If you come by bus 550 on route Köping-Skinnskatteberg you can choose to get off at the folk high school (1km) and then walk the last stage, ask the driver where to get off the bus if you are uncertain. By bus
You can also take bus number 56 from the train station in Skinnskatteberg and get off at the stop SKÄRSJÖN. There are not many departures with this bus, a departure that suits check-in time is 13:25.

By car to Kolarbyn
Kolarbyn is located 4km southeast of central Skinnskatteberg, along the national highway 233. There are a sign to Kolarbyn from road 233. Free parking is available in Kolarbyn.
